In 2023, we partnered with Cornell Cooperative Extension to create a community garden at Cornell Cooperative Extention’s Education Center and 4 H Park in Otisville. In 2024, we formed our first international partnership with the Waterford, Ireland-based ‘Grow it Yourself’ program. Through this program, ‘Growing Champions’ are being taught how to train others to grow food.

PARTICIPANTS:

Our Community Garden is nurtured by a dedicated team of 22 individuals from our Pre-Vocational Program. These passionate gardeners bring enthusiasm and commitment, ensuring every plant thrives and every harvest exceeds expectations.

FARMING AREA:

We have cultivated a thriving 1-acre plot, transforming it into a lush, productive oasis. Our well-maintained garden showcases a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, all grown using sustainable farming practices.

FOOD PRODUCED:

In a testament to our hard work and dedication, we harvested a remarkable 750 pounds of fresh produce. This bounty is generously donated to the local food pantry, playing a crucial role in nourishing our community and supporting those in need.
